I’ve decided to shed some light on some signings that I think will play key factors in the upcoming season:

1. Jordan Howard
Although Jordan Howard is a name that nearly every football fan knows, it takes just a quick look at this signing to realize how good it is for both sides.
First off, what brought Jordan to Miami. Some people will tell you health issues, some will tell you it’s the fact that he’s never really been on a team where he’s the number one guy in the backfield.
I see big things for Howard in Miami, despite his struggles.
Miami’s leads rusher last year was Ryan Fitzpatrick. Yep, 37-year-old Ryan Fitzpatrick, who rushed for a whopping 243 yards. Howard provides an instant upgrade. He’ll get a ton of carries and signed a 2 year deal, providing him with some good job stability.
2. Blake Martinez
Most people will tell you that Blake Martinez is a very underrated linebacker, but when he gets signed by a linebacker needy team I see hardly anyone talking about this signing.
Not only that, but he fills a huge need, and has potential to become the leader that the Giants need on defense. With over 140 tackles in each of his last 3 seasons, Martinez is a proven producer. He could be the player that kick starts the awful Giants defense.
3. Chris Harris Jr
Although I did hear some conversation about Harris, I think there needs to be some more talk about how good this signing actually was.
Harris, 30, is a 4 time Pro-Bowler and a Super Bowl champion. Getting Harris to leave the division rival Broncos and join them was a huge win for the Chargers.
Not only does it give them an even better secondary that already features Casey Heyward, Derwin James and Desmond King. The Chargers might have the best secondary in football to pair with a scary pass rush.
If they can stay healthy Harris may be the veteran presence to push LA to the playoffs.
