Clippers Woes Cost Them, Big Time: Ring or Bust

Reading Time: 2 minutesSo much for the Battle of LA… I always knew that the Clippers were overrated, and not because of their talent. This team simply did not have enough chemistry, playmakers, and rim protection to go far in the playoffs. It is almost like you could see it coming, but you would rather bet on their talent to get them far, right? WRONG!  You could even see it in the first round against the Dallas Mavericks. No Porzingis, and Luka took them six games. Then this round, they were up 3-1 against the Nuggets, and then completely...

Why You Shouldn’t Sleep On The LA Chargers’ Defense

Reading Time: 2 minutesThe LA Chargers are better than people think going into this season, even with former franchise cornerstone for almost two decades in QB Philip Rivers is gone. Book it. However, there is one thing to be excited about for Chargers fans: the defense. I am loving the potential they have on that side of the ball. They went out and signed former Broncos cornerback Chris Harris Jr. Harris has been an elite corner in the NFL for the past few years, and he brings leadership, along with his elite corner play. Not to mention, he already...

How the Cavs Can Improve for the Future: Part 2

Reading Time: 2 minutesIn my last article, I dove in on how the Cavs can improve for next year with better schemes, rotations, and player development. In the second, and final part of this Cavs series, I will talk about how they can improve through free agency, and the NBA draft. Trade Kevin Love to the Sixers Deal: Kevin Love, Darius Garland, and 2020 second round pick for Tobias Harris and Josh Richardson Before I begin, shoutout to nba.analysis.2020 on Instagram for suggesting the Sixers as a possible trade destination. This is a match made in heaven. The Sixers...

Jamal Adams Blockbuster: Analysis from Both Sides

Reading Time: 2 minutesWell, Jamal Adams had his wish come true. The All-Pro safety, formerly a member of the New York Jets, has a new team. He has been traded to the Seattle Seahawks for Bradley McDougald, a first-round pick in 2021, a third-round pick in 2021, and another first-round pick in 2022. The Seahawks also receive a fourth-round pick. Here are my thoughts on the trade for both sides. From Seattle’s perspective, they get an absolute game-changer on defense. Jamal Adams is the best safety in the league, and fills a need for Seattle in the secondary. Seattle’s secondary was roasted by Davante Adams in the playoffs last year, and even though Adams is not a cover corner, he will make QBs think twice about throwing it on his side of the field. Also, considering the Seahawks first-round picks would probably be late first anyway, they gave it up for one of the best defenders in football. This almost certainly cements their case as Super Bowl contenders. The Jets also did an amazing job with this trade. First of all, they traded Adams out of their conference which was an incredibly smart move. Secondly, they got a HAUL for him. Two first-rounders, plus a third-rounder? They are set up nicely for the future to trade for a star, or stand pat and build for the future. Furthermore, they...

How The Cleveland Cavaliers Can Improve For The Future: Part One

Reading Time: 2 minutesThe Cleveland Cavaliers have been in the Eastern Conference cellar for the last two years. However, before the COVID-19 shutdown, the Cavs were playing their best basketball since the beginning of the season as they were 5-6 and beating teams such as the Heat, Sixers, and Nuggets. The Cavs showed a glimpse of what the future could look like. Here’s how they can continue to improve for next year with player development and schemes. Continue developing Kevin Porter Jr. Kevin Porter Jr. has been one of the lone bright spots for the Cavs this season. Before...
