Future Stars of the New England Patriots

Reading Time: 2 minutesAlthough the Patriots are 4-6, and a playoff birth is highly unlikely, this team still has hope for a bright future. The lack of depth at many positions has allowed many young guys to obtain in-game experience when they wouldn’t get it any other year. Therefore, some of the Patriots’ young players are showing flashes of potential to be solid players or even stars in the near future. Starting out at the running back position, Damien Harris has looked promising running the football the past several weeks. Since missing the first 3 weeks of the season,...

Making the Case for Brian Flores as Coach Of The Year

Reading Time: 3 minutesHeading into week 11 of the 2020-2021 NFL Season, the Miami Dolphins sit at 6-4, right in the midst of the jam packed AFC playoff picture— there is no one else except head coach Brian Flores who could have taken charge like that. Coach Flores is one of the main reasons for the Dolphins success this season.    Hired last year on February 4th 2019, Flores replaced former head coach Adam Gase. Last season, the Dolphins had arguably one of the worst rosters in NFL history. The Dolphins began the season starting 0-7, losing their first...

Interview With Former Cleveland Browns Scout: Dax Nollenberger

Reading Time: 2 minutesLast week, I had the exclusive privilege of interviewing former Cleveland Browns scout, Dax Nollenberger.  To start things off, I discussed with Nollenberger about the scouting process. We discussed topics regarding the year-round scouting grind and some of the specific details regarding professional scouting for an NFL team. We also dove into the very communicative environment of the Cleveland Browns and how the discussion of interests in players went from the general manager through the scouts and to the coaches. Nollenberger emphasized the importance of communication in all front offices, and not just with the Cleveland...

Week 12 NFL Fantasy: Start ‘Em or Sit ‘Em

Reading Time: 2 minutesStart ‘Em: WR Michael Pittman (IND) Pittman struggled through injuries early in the year, but has been lights out as of recent. He’ll have a favorable matchup vs Tennessee, and may be able to emerge as the Colts top target. Pittman is in a great situation for a fantasy breakout this week. RB Gus Edwards (BAL) Edwards has played the RB1 role before, and with Lamar Jackson out he’ll likely see lots of carries on Tuesday. While Pittsburgh has a great defense, their run defense has taken a slight hit since the loss of Devin Bush....

Penalties: The Arizona Cardinals Achilles Heel

Reading Time: < 1 minuteThis is getting ridiculous.   The Arizona Cardinals currently have 79 penalties, (most in league) and 634 penalty yards (4th most.) This problem was most evident last Thursday in a close loss to Seattle where Arizona had 10 penalties for 115(!) yards. In a nearly empty stadium, Arizona committed numerous false starts, a holding which resulted in a safety, and a boneheaded unsportsmanlike conduct penalty following a 3rd down stop which resulted in the Seahawks scoring a touchdown to go ahead 2 scores instead of kicking a 50+ yard field goal. The latter two had...
