Ohio State picked up a huge 77-70 win over a tough and competitive UCLA squad. EJ Liddell returned for the Buckeyes, as they shot near 50% in the win. The team also got to witness Seth Towns first two minutes of action as an Ohio State Buckeyes. This is a huge storyline moving forward, but this team fully healthy is likely a top four or five team in the Big Ten.
UCLA managed to shoot under 40% for the game, and the team that shot closer to 50% would likely win solely based on each team’s ability to play intense defense for the entirety of the game.
As for Ohio State’s offense definitely had some struggles at times, but Eugene Brown hit some crucial threes, and helped spark the Buckeyes offense on a tough UCLA team.
It was great bounce back game to have after the tough, road loss to Purdue. The return of EJ Liddell and Seth Towns occurred in this game, so that is an amazing thing to see with the Buckeyes beginning Big Ten play soon. Ohio State’s schedule begins to get tougher by the month, and it won’t be easy when they have to play Rutgers.
