Wideouts are undoubtedly the deepest position in fantasy football, and with a very deep position comes some terrific values. They are also very inconsistent, so getting the best ones at the right time could win you your league. I’ll be looking at four guys who are great values, so let’s see who they are.
Calvin Ridley – ATL
Ridley is the 2020 version of Chris Godwin and not enough people are realizing it. He is a talented WR with superb route-running skills in a great offense that just lost the people that competed with him for targets.
Atlanta has proven that they can sustain many quality producers and in that offense, having a guy who can be a WR1 along with Julio (just like 2019 Godwin) is totally worth it where he’s being taken in the fourth round (as WR17).
Tyler Boyd – CIN
Boyd has a ridiculous value being taken as the WR31. Tyler Boyd has been in the top 24 WRs in 2018 and 2019, and he just got a massive upgrade at QB. \
People are sleeping on Boyd because they think that AJ Green will make an impact (although he is too injured to do so), which allows you to get WR2 production and a good flex play much later than you should.
Diontae Johnson – PIT
Diontae Johnson is a good breakout candidate as a second-year WR. In his first year, he defied all odds by even being fantasy-relevant while having horrible QB play, starting the season behind Johnny Holton, and being a raw 3rd-round rookie from a small school.
Now that every single one of my points doesn’t apply anymore, his separation skills should allow him to be a WR3 and finish better than his ADP of WR38.
Anthony Miller – CHI
Anthony Miller is the Duke Johnson of WRs. He’s being provided with a great opportunity as well as being talented, but limited by his role. With a new QB, things can only go up for Miller, who is a valuable asset on a team that has lots of opportunity for growth offensively.
As Chicago’s WR2, I don’t see a circumstance where a likely top 45 wideout finishes where he is being taken as the WR53.
Honorable Mentions: Robinson, Woods, Chark, McLaurin, Crowder, Jefferson, Renfrow, Campbell.
