Why the Boston Red Sox Can Make a Playoff Push

Reading Time: 2 minutesAs Opening Day for the 2021 MLB season approaches, many have their eyes on the revamped and competitive American League East. The Tampa Bay Rays are coming off a World Series appearance. The New York Yankees enter with the highest payroll in the American League. The Toronto Blue Jays had a splash this offseason acquiring George Springer, Marcus Semien, and bolster breakout potential talent in Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Bo Bichette. The Baltimore Orioles are coming off a fourth place finish and also possess young talent. Then there’s the fly-under-the-radar Boston Red Sox. While many people...

2021 NL East Predictions

Reading Time: 4 minutesThe National League East was one of the toughest divisions in baseball in 2019, and if there was a full season last year it could have still been the toughest division. This year the division is sure to be pretty competitive, none of the teams lost a lot of talent, while other teams drastically improved and have a chance to win the pennant. Here is how I see the division ending up when the regular season ends. Fifth Place: Miami Marlins The Marlins were one of the most surprising teams in baseball last season, they went...

Making The Case For Why The Mets Are The Best Team in NY

Reading Time: 6 minutesWith the 2021 MLB season about to begin in just a couple of days, both the Mets and the Yankees are expected to be top teams in the league this season. Both teams made big moves in trying to improve their rosters and there can now be a serious argument on who is the best team in New York. Since 2016, the Yankees have undoubtedly been the superior team, as they made it to the postseason and made some runs, while the Mets last playoff appearance was in 2016 when they lost to the Giants in...

Baseball’s Next Dynasty: The Seattle Mariners

Reading Time: 2 minutesThe Seattle Mariners have never won a World Series. In fact, They’ve never even been to a World Series. In 2001, they won the most games in MLB History, and still didn’t make it past the ALCS. But I think that’s going to change soon. The Mariners are the team of the future. First, what other teams could be the team of the future, and why they won’t be. I will not be counting teams like the Dodgers, as their dynasty has already started. PADRES: The Padres have young stars, and a top farm system. Wil Myers‘ and Eric Hosmer‘s abominations of contracts are even ending soon. So why isn’t this team the team of the future? Bad luck. The NL West is arguably the best future division in baseball. The Dodgers are the Dodgers and the Giants and Diamondbacks have top prospects waiting in the wings. This will diminish the Padres’ chances of making the playoffs. METS: The Mets could be a dynasty. There is not a lot stopping them. They have talented young guys who still have not hit their prime. My question is sustainability. Michael Conforto and Francisco Lindor are both free agents after this year. Lindor even says he won’t negotiate after opening day. If they re-sign, this could be a dynasty. But it doesn’t look like either will. BLUE JAYS: Another...

Why David Peterson Should be in the Mets’ Starting Rotation

Reading Time: 2 minutesThroughout this current off-season, the Mets have added some big arms for both the rotation and the bullpen. The Mets were able to pull off a blockbuster trade that landed the team’s star pitcher Carlos Carrasco as well as Francisco Lindor. The Mets also recently signed Taijuan Walker to join the rotation for the next two seasons. The rotation seemed to be full once they signed Walker, as deGrom would obviously be the #1 starter followed by Marcus Stroman, Carlos Carrasco, David Peterson and Walker. But once the spring training games started a couple of weeks...
