Makael Rainbow is a 6’2″ point guard from Laveen, Arizona. He attended Fairfax HS (AZ) where he averaged a very impressive 24 PPG, 3 RPG, 3 APG, and 3 SPG. This included a 38 PT performance against Buena HS (AZ).

Following a very productive high school career at Fairfax, Rainbow decided to enroll in South Mountain CC which is located in Phoenix.

While at South Mountain, Rainbow proved to everyone that he is a very good scoring guard. The athletic lefty guard has a very quick first step which allows him to blow past defenders, getting to the rim easily. He’s also very gifted at finishing through contact.

Furthermore, Rainbow has the ability to space the floor and get his teammates involved. This past season at South Mountain CC, Rainbow led his team in scoring with an impressive 15 PPG.

Following his final season at South Mountain, Rainbow is now looking for a new home. He should be sought after by many college coaches because he’s a proven scorer at all levels and could be the prominent scorer on any college team needing a pure scoring guard.

Rainbow stated that he’s received interest from the following teams: Maryland Eastern Shore (MEAC), New Mexico State (WAC), Seattle (WAC), La Salle (A10), as well as many D2 schools.

Following 2 seasons at South Mountain, Rainbow has 2 seasons of eligibility left. Rainbow maintained a 3.1 GPA while at South Mountain which has proven that he can get it done both on the court and in the classroom.

At the unsigned JUCO showcase recently, Rainbow impressed, having performances of 16 and 22 points. Rainbow will prove to all the coaches passing on him that he is a player capable of being a key contributor on many D1 teams.
