Start ‘Em:
WR Michael Pittman (IND)
Pittman struggled through injuries early in the year, but has been lights out as of recent. He’ll have a favorable matchup vs Tennessee, and may be able to emerge as the Colts top target. Pittman is in a great situation for a fantasy breakout this week.
RB Gus Edwards (BAL)
Edwards has played the RB1 role before, and with Lamar Jackson out he’ll likely see lots of carries on Tuesday. While Pittsburgh has a great defense, their run defense has taken a slight hit since the loss of Devin Bush. Edwards certainly doesn’t have an easy task, but he should get lots of opportunities in this week’s Ravens offense.
WR Antonio Brown (TB)
Brown has been emerging as a popular target for Tom Brady recently. He’ll be drawing KC’s 3rd corner, from a secondary that’s already nothing to write home about. Expect Brown to take advantage of the mismatch he’ll have, and rake in some quality points.
Sit ‘Em:
RB Melvin Gordon (DEN)
Gordon had a resurgent week 11, finding pay-dirt twice, totaling for 18.4 points. However this week he’ll likely be running into a brick wall in the Saints defense. New Orleans has allowed an incredible 36.3 rushing yds/game in their past three, and there’s no reason that trend should change. Gordon will run into a defense who’d just hitting their stride, making a near impossible matchup on Sunday.
RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire (KC)
Clyde has had a nice season averaging 14.8 ppg, but should only be a desperation start vs Tampa Bay. Tampa Bay has locked teams rushing attacks down to this point in the season, allowing just 73 ypg on the ground. Another thing to monitor is wether Le’Veon Bell sees another uptick in carries after getting 7 last week.
QB Ryan Tannehill (TEN)
Tannehill will have his 2nd matchup vs Indianapolis of the season on Sunday. He faired very poorly in their first meeting, throwing for just 147yds and a touchdown. Indy’s defense has done a nice job shutting sown passing attacks, and forcing QB’s to give the ball away. Unless Tannehill can pull off a miraculous performance, he should find himself out of a starting role in fantasy lineups.
