*Me before the 2019-2020 NBA season* Wow! The Clippers got Kawhi AND Paul George? 2020 will be the greatest year ever!

*Me, now: Writing an article about how the Clippers should trade one of their better players while having not left the house in 3 weeks.*

That being said, let’s make some Paul George trades:

The “Star for Depth” trade

Clippers receive  Pick #27, Spencer Dinwiddie, Jarrett Allen, Joe Harris (Resigns), Rodions Kurucs

Nets receive: Paul George.

This is a trade that could likely happen. The Nets build a big-three and have DeAndre Jordan at center. The Clippers get some good pieces and maybe sign a solid free agent (Evan Fournier?) to fill the void at shooting guard.

The “Disgruntled Superstar Swap” trade

Clippers receive: Rudy Gobert, Joe Ingles, Royce O’Neal

Jazz receive: Paul George, Ivica Zubac, Patrick Beverley.

This is a trade that makes sense for both teams. The Jazz get a good defensive point guard, a superstar to pair up with Donovan Mitchell, and a good young center to replace Gobert. The Clippers add Gobert, the best defensive center in the league, and then also receive Ingles and O’Neal as good bench players.

The “Mock” Trade

Clippers receive: Joel Embiid, Josh Richardson

76ers receive: Paul George, Ivica Zubac, two Second Round Picks

Please, please, please, let this happen. It’s unlikely, but this would be a GREAT trade for the Clippers.

The “four-way” trade

Clippers receive: Mitchell Robinson, Khris Middleton, Eric Bledsoe

Knicks receive: Paul George

Thunder receive: The #8 Pick, George Hill

Bucks receive: Chris Paul, 2022 First Rounder, Rodney McGruder, Danilo Gallinari (sign and trade on three-year, $50 million deal)

Chaos, sweet, sweet chaos. How fun would this be, am I right? The Clippers get a bunch of complementary pieces to Kawhi. The Knicks get a superstar. The Thunder start their rebuild with the number 8 overall pick (Onyeka Okongwu, Devin Vassell, Cole Anthony). The Bucks get Chris Paul and Danilo Gallinari, in an attempt to get Giannis to resign.
