Grading James Jones’ Significant Moves as Suns GM

Reading Time: 2 minutesJames Jones was introduced as the Suns’ GM just before the 2018 NBA season to replace an abysmal GM in Ryan McDonough. Here are my grades for the significant moves he has made in his time as general manager.   Kelly Oubre Jr. Trade Jones’s first significant move was arguably his best move. In exchange for an old Trevor Ariza to the Wizards, Jones received small forward Kelly Oubre Jr. and point guard Austin Rivers. Rivers was waived by the Suns immediately, but Oubre Jr. has blossomed into a great piece for the Suns. Grade: A+...

How One Punch to the Balls Almost Ruined the Portland Trail Blazers

Reading Time: 2 minutesA punch to the balls and a drawn knife were the only reasons the Portland Trail Blazers stopped themselves from getting an all-time great. That was probably the most bizarre opening sentence to any article you’ve read. But it’s true. The Trail Blazers were awarded the 3rd overall pick in the 2005 draft after winning 27 games throughout the 2004-05 season. Unfortunately for them, this was one of the worst draft classes of all time. Somehow, Chris Paul wasn’t drafted by the Bucks or Hawks, the two teams that were granted the top 2 picks of...

Ranking Big Ten QB-RB-WR Trios: The Bottom Half (14-8)

Reading Time: 2 minutes14. Michigan State MSU appears to have an open QB competition, however lacks ideal replacements in-house. RB Elijah Collins figures to have a solid season coming off of nearly reaching 1,000 yards in his redshirt Freshman season. Tre Mosely has a tough task ahead at the WR1 spot. Mosely figures to be the go-to target, after a season of just 216 receiving yards on 21 catches. 13. Rutgers QB Artur Sitkowski comes into 2020 after a poor 2019 season before a season-ending injury. Isiah Pacheco looks to be suitable at RB, after rounding out a 729...

The Forgotten NBA Legend of the 80’s: Alex English

Reading Time: 3 minutesWhen someone thinks of ’80s basketball, they think of Larry Bird. They think Magic Johnson. Dominique. An older Kareem. Maybe even Adrian Dantley. But somehow, one name that everyone should be talking about has managed to be forgotten. Alex English. Drafted in the late 2nd round of the 1976 draft, some people don’t even know who he is, and even if you do, good chance you have no idea the dominance he had on the game. English is one of, if not the best scorers of the ’80s and even all time. He rounds out the...

Reading Time: 3 minutesYes, it finally happened. Baseball is back. After long on going disputes that involved eight proposals and conuter proposals, between Major League Baseball (Team owners) and the Players Association, both sides have come to an agreement for a shortened season. In March, when the discussions began between MLB and the MLBPA (Major League Baseball Players Association), a large population of baseball fans believed that the season was for sure going to return. But as time ticked away, the thought that the season may not return began sprouting, and the concerns began rising. Team owners and the Players Association...
